Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on 5 August for the 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been an integral part of The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both the host and the moderator. The real love of her life was writing and she received an Emmy. The fact that she hosted an amazing entertainment talk show won her an additional Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News The Early Show's early morning news show The Early Show for a decade. Before that, she served as anchor for the news segment of The Early Show and anchor of the CBS Morning News, the CBS Television Network's morning-to-day, half-hour broadcast.Chen Moonves reported on several important storylines for The Early Show, including the war of 2003 in Iraq. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo in the aftermath of 9/11. She went her down and spoke with the father who commanded hijackers for an eye-opening and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has profiled stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was an editor at WDTN TV Dayton in Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). Previous jobs included working as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant within ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991), all while completing her final year of school from The University of Southern California. She started her career as an assistant at ABC News, working on the late-night program Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains one of Moonves' journalism idols. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel on the Columbia duPont-winning documentary Anatomy of a Riot which focussed on events surrounding the Los Angeles riots of '92.
